I am choosing to spend more time for..... (and less, as well) #5for5BrainDump - Wednesday

Intriguing because my first thought was "I need to apologize for falling behind time wise... and then I realized no, I have chosen the time I have invested this morning and I will continue to choose...." so here is my five minutes of writing. Following my writing is the broadcast from Periscope. I will also link to my Facebook Writing Camp page because I took things a bit further this morning to fix a technical error and what happened as a result was a lot of fun - oh, and below my writing is the replay of the broadcast AND a photo of Alice-the-Cat in the windowsill, as she was when she tried to distract me!

I am choosing to spend time more effectively and consciously through continued use of timers and love. Love and timers. Immediately Alice the Cat started making weird noises as she is perched on the window sill and I would love to leave this writing behind to see what has her attention but instead, I will choose to spend my full five minutes writing.

She is hissing. It must be another cat, interloping on her yard.

And that’s what happens when we choose to spend time unconsciously. Other people’s intentions and boundaries stumble into our best plans for our own vision and before you know it – time has passed and opportunities strayed away and you’re left standing there with more grey hair and a scuffed pair of shoes unclear how you got there.

I can’t stay in the third person. It is too easy and… I need to be clear with myself.

I have lost too much ground to be confused about how I got where I am. I seek clarity – which is why I am not giving up on my vision of a world transformed when people become more able to write and speak their own unique vision more and more clearly.

I’ve been given these gifts and it is my pleasure to bring these gifts to the world. I invest in my skills and I enjoy making a sustainable living wage passing my knowledge to others. It feels good to win awards and see the smiles of satisfaction spread across the faces of those I serve with my work.

I am choosing to spend time more effectively with marketing and visibility so that there will be more smiles on more faces and I will continue to rejoice on more mornings like this one.
